Tema General Hospital isn't exactly a hospital that women are glad to walk into. Matter of fact, some aren't sure that they will walk out alive with their newborn babies. The hospital's construction has been stalled for the last seven years. But for some women this is the closest hospital available to them. Sixteen women have already died this year because of deplorable conditions. The government and stakeholders are currently being challenged if they really want a maternity hospital or not? It makes you wonder when you see the deplorable dilapidating conditions of the facility, it appears their hearts aren't really into protecting newborns or their mothers. It looks more like a house of horrors. Unfortunately, because of a pastor's low salary in Ghana this is the best he can afford for his wife and new baby. They currently live on a salary of $30.00 U.S. currency a month. I was praying by the time their newborn arrives that we would have baby clothes and a baby bed for the new baby that's due April 20th 2016. Please keep them in your prayers, living in Ghana can be a challenge for anyone, especially a pregnant woman.
