Pastor Moses has made a lot of sacrifices to follow the heart of God. He even sold all of his posessions to become a father to the fatherless and motherless in Kenya. His journey hasn't been an easy one he faces a lot of obstacles to provide food, clothing and shelter for the orphans and homeless in Kenya. It isn't very often that you find such a story worth telling. I really think that Pastor Moses Simiyu deserves a helping hand to see his vision completed in Kenya. When I heard his story, I felt it was a story worth telling!
Pastor Moses shared with me in 2015 he sold all of his posessions to follow his heart.
Moses:
"In 2015 I sold everything I had, including my households like my TV to start Zarephath College. My vision was to preach the gospel by picking homeless boys, girls and teenage mothers who may be orphaned, rejected or from vulnerable families and train them to give them hope, light of Christ and a future. Since I was the sole sponsor, I had financial challenges last year to pay rent, lecturers among other workers. You are God sent mum."
Pastor Moses has a big vision in Kenya to open an orphanage. His vision has become our vision to partner with him. You too can partner with Pastor Moses to see that there will be an orphanage in Kenya for these precious children of God.
Moses and I thought we would put the pictures together of the orphans that need sponsors. You can sponsor a child and help Pastor Moses build and orphanage in Kenya. We will be adding more pictures as they become available. Pastor Moses is limited because of his financial limitaions.
Mark 10:21 Jesus looked at him and loved him. "One thing you lack," he said. "Go, sell everything you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me."
Pastor Moses Simiyu proved he lacked nothing when he heard the high calling! How many of us are willing to sale everything we own for the glory of God? It takes a very special person to give up everything.
Matthew 19:21 Jesus answered, "If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me."
Luke 12:33 Sell your possessions and give to the poor. Provide purses for yourselves that will not wear out, a treasure in heaven that will never fail, where no thief comes near and no moth destroys.
Well, it sounds like Pastor Moses is next to perfect in the eyes of God and building treasures that last through eternity!
