1 Peter 4:8 Above all, love each other deeply because love covers over a multitude of sins.
It’s when you walk into faith with a selfless heart and love that God gives you more. Ruth gave up everything but it was her selfless heart that led her to be a foreigner in a new land to follow her mother-in-law in whom who she adored. It was Ruth’s heart’s desire to see that her mother-in-law Naomi would be taken care of in her old age. It was Ruth’s hard work laboring in the field with the attitude I’ll never give up that got the attention of Boaz a rich farmer and relative to Naomi’s kin. It was that selfless heart that drew the attention of Boaz and God that led her to be the grandmother of King David a shepherd boy that would one day rule Israel that too won the heart of God. I’m sure a future king knew and understood by following the heart of his grandmother that led him to the heart of God.
God promises that he will give us our heart’s desire.
Psalm 37:4 Trust in the Lord and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture. 4 Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.
It was when Ruth had her heart’s desire on taking care of her Mother-in-law Naomi that God filled her with all of her desires.
It’s when we put others before ourselves that God sees into our hearts. It’s when we receive and walk with the favor of God.
If you want to know how to walk in the favor of God do it with a selfless heart. You take each step walking in faith never expecting more but giving what you have to those in need. That’s when you find the key to God’s heart and you open it wide open seeing and feeling the blessings of God.
I pray today that you learn to walk this life with a selfless heart receiving the full blessings of God.
