I don't know how many trials I have faced in my personal life from death financial problems to health problems. I know when my daughter died had I not stayed focused on Jesus I would have sank just like him. I had to push myself forward even when I could hardly get out those words of praise with just a whisper. I made myself praise God. When my daughter died I thought about the day she was born premature with immature lungs and the doctor gave her 24 hours to live. She lived 32 years. I couldn't be angry at God he turned 24 hours into 32 years. I thanked him for the years that he gave me with her. Had I concentrated just on the loss and death, I wouldn't have seen the gift of life that I had already received. That was in 2008 when she went to be with the Lord. Last year, on Christmas Eve my husband suddenly got ill. He was sitting on the couch and suddenly was doubled over in pain from his large intestine rupturing. I was afraid he was going to die. The doctor was afraid his body was going to turn septic. They gave him an IV of high doses of antibiotics and said the worst thing that can happen is that he will get an abscess. Well two weeks later when he went back for test our nightmare hit. He had an abscess. Again, we were afraid that we were going to lose him. The doctor wanted to do an emergency surgery. But we said, we wanted to wait and see after the MRI. We called everyone we knew and we stepped into the boat with Jesus and we never let go! When he went for the MRI and the results the doctor couldn't explain it other than it being a miracle the abscess was gone. There wasn't even any scar tissue. It was as if it had all been a horrible nightmare and we woke up and he was healed. I'm here to tell you if God can heal him, he can heal you! Don't let go! Hold onto Jesus all the way through the storm. And when you reach the end of the storm. Praising him in the storm! And Praising him through the storm, and praise him after the storm!
Jesus never promised that we wouldn't go through tough times, what he did promise was that he would always be there with us!
Hebrews 13:5 Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said,“Never will I leave you;
never will I forsake you.”
I don't know what you are going through today, but I'm here to tell you to keep your eyes on Jesus, don't ever take them off. He will get you through the storm, just hold onto him tight and don't let go! Keep going! After the storm comes sunshine.
