There are so many people that ask why do bad things happen to children? It’s because your past is the key to your future. If you can’t keep the grades up in school, the devil knows that you won’t make it as a doctor a scientist or whatever your little ingenious mind has planned. Because you will be so distracted by the abuse that you will be lucky if you can even function as a wife and mother. He knows if he gets you when you’re young that young people have a less of a chance of living a successful life. He knows that he has a better chance of throwing you into instant poverty. Most children start learning the piano or other musical instruments when they’re very young. But if that gift is taken away and they’re distracted through trauma, they never reach their full potential. Some gymnast start training as early as 3 years-old. I don’t know how many Olympic winners that I’ve heard them say that they started when they were three-years-old.
The devil goes after the easy targets, and children are the easiest and most vulnerable and sometimes the least protected. Children depend on others to guide them and to direct them to lead them across the busy street or take them somewhere. And unfortunately, the very hands that they’re sometimes entrusted to are the very hands that want to see them destroyed. An older sibling can be jealous of the younger child because he or she gets more attention than them. Or they see that the child has possibly more potential than them. And if, they take them out early there’s no future competition. Especially, for someone that’s a bully and poor sport, they can’t take any competition against them.
My brother was a bully and poor sport. He couldn’t take it if he lost a game, it ruined his day. He couldn’t take any direct competition and lose at it. He would cheat to win.
I was a child where everything came easy for me. I started walking when I was seven-months-old. By the time I entered Kindergarten, they were talking about putting me in a school for gifted children. I could put a 100 piece puzzle together in minutes. They would time me. My dad and uncle said I had the potential to become a scientist, they thought I was that smart. And he couldn't stand for people to see that kind of potential in me.
1 John 3:15 Anyone who hates a brother or sister is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life residing in him.
What happens when our destiny changes?
When our destiny changes and we are redirected in lfe.
Matthew 16:24 Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.
We have to learn to trust in God and his new plan for our life. His new plan maybe different than anything that we ever expected. It may take us places we have dreamed of but never seen. Just because one person sets out to ruin your life doesn't mean that your life's over. Jesus has your back. Just like he did when Joseph's brothers sold him as a slave. We may go through some bumps along the way. But with God he makes a new path and changes everything.
We can't let one peson ruin our lives forever!
Jesus can change your destiny today if you trust him and ask him to be the Lord of your life. All you have to do is confess your sins to him and admit that you're a sinner that needs a Savior.
Ephesians 2:8-9 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast.
If you know someone that was abused, please share my story with them! Thank you!
