With one I have, she’s never met her real mom, so she hungers for that mother daughter relationship.
Like many of these kids they never lived in one place long enough to stabilize, so many of them are beneath their grade average. But, I have found with time that they soon catch up or surpass their current grade level.
And like me, all of these kids have dreams, one wants to be a journalist, one wants to be a veterinarian and the other a marine biologist. And my dream is to make sure that they reach their dreams.
I really believe that God calls those that have been through the same thing as them so that they can identify with them in some way. And, I believe that God called me to rescue the brokenhearted.
There are so many kids filled with unguided anger; that if not redirected they’re going to wind up in the penal system just like their biological parents. It’s just a matter of time…
It’s up to us as a church, as the body of Christ to redirect this lost generation before it’s too late. When a child of the state turns eighteen years-old they’re given a suitcase a hundred dollars and sent on their way.
Many of these kids are just waiting for the right person to come along and rescue them. Some of these kids suffer so much from anxiety waiting to be adopted. And some of them have a misconception that when they’re adopted their life is going to be filled with gifts everyday like the movie Annie.
I can’t make promises of gifts accept for Christmas and Birthdays and a stuff animal on Valentine’s Day. But, I can promise that I will teach you about the love of God, and if you have that knowledge. He will protect you all the days of your life, if you follow His direction.
Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
Matthew 14: 18
And he said, “Bring them here to me.” 19Then he ordered the crowds to sit down on the grass, and taking the five loaves and the two fish, he looked up to heaven and said a blessing. Then he broke the loaves and gave them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the crowds. 20And they all ate and were satisfied. And they took up twelve baskets full of the broken pieces left over. 21And those who ate were about five thousand men, besides women and children.
Matthew 10: 28
And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father.
30But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.
31Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows.
