We don’t get to choose our siblings.
We don’t get to choose how we’re going to die.
Most of us want to die old and asleep when we die.
Most of us don’t want to suffer when we die.
We want to be comfortable when we die.
Some of us can’t imagine the pain and suffering some go through when they die.
We can’t imagine the collapsed lungs or phlegm filled lungs that made them die.
We can’t imagine the high fevers that caused their hearts to fail when they died.
We can’t imagine their organs gradually shutting down because of the infection that trailed through them causing them to die.
In truth, many are afraid to die.
Because they don’t realize what’s on the other side when they die.
Many believe the lie.
Or they’re hard-headed and refuse to accept the terms.
It’s not always on our terms.
Even when we surrender to God, it’s under his terms.
We don’t get to set the terms.
God sets the terms from the beginning to the end of our life how we will die.
1 Chronicles 10:14 and did not inquire of the Lord. So the Lord put him to death and turned the kingdom over to David son of Jesse.
2 Samuel 21:1 During the reign of David, there was a famine for three successive years; so David sought the face of the Lord. The Lord said, “It is on account of Saul and his blood-stained house; it is because he put the Gibeonites to death.”
