And you don’t realize your rules are what’s decaying you.
You take your drugs and alcohol.
You’re always looking for the next party.
You don’t give a damn what it does to those around you.
You say you want God.
But you don’t submit to God.
You want to break all the morality rules.
Your heart says immorality rules.
You go on a search for gods in forbidden places.
You say wrong, rules.
You no longer have a conscience.
You believe in science.
And say, “the big bang theory rules.”
You chase diamonds and jewels.
Your body’s covered and engraved with tattoos that resemble snakes and jewels.
You vote for the most corrupt politicians with the same rules.
And then you say, God has no business teaching you, new rules.
You get pregnant out of wedlock and discard it with another broken rule.
So, you down some more pills with your alcohol.
You’re only 30 but you look like you’re 45.
You haven’t taken care of yourself in a long while.
Your skin looks sun ravaged like you’ve traveled 1 million miles.
And even though you can’t afford it, you follow the latest trendy styles.
You’re out on the streets selling your body for drugs and alcohol.
I don’t know you.
We have different rules.
I’ve tried to share it with you.
But you’re stubborn you have your own rules.
So, you get drunk and cry out to the man waiting for another man, woman.
Or anybody to make you feel warm again.
But no one hears you.
They don’t understand you.
You will continue to run wild chasing the wind.
And your friends will continue to hit the mute button because they don’t get you.
The only one that understands you is God.
He’s waiting for you to say that you need him, that you want him to be the Lord of your life.
It’s only then that someone will hear you, and that is God.
God is waiting for you.
Stop running from him.
He’s the only one that can put your life back together again.
And help you rebuild your life again.
James 1:6 But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.
