I think most women that have ever been divorced can relate to Gomer. I think any woman that has ever felt rejected or alone feels like Gomer.
I think there are a lot of Gomer’s in the world today looking and waiting for changes. But whatever they do never seems to be the right thing. As soon as doors open they close. As soon as relationships start, they end. We live in a world of hurt and pain. We all wanted that fairytale dream of finding the right one and living happily ever after. But for many they’re just trying to learn how to cope after the death of a loved one, or a quick painful shocking divorce that knocked them off their feet onto the hard bare cold floor of reality.
Gomer looked for acceptance in the wrong places. How many night clubs or beer joints do you have to walk through before you say, enough is enough?
I deserve better! I deserve more!
I want to surrender my life to Jesus Christ.
Whatever, you’re going through today. If you have felt rejected or loneliness. God’s waiting on you to call out to him.
Maybe like us you’re the broken parent that can’t get control of your children. God’s saying step back and let me move in their lives.
Pastor Samuel Asante Beecham and I are going to be studying the Rehabilitation of the Heart.
Feel free to share your stories with us. How did God rehabilitate your heart and what did you have to go through to reach where you are today?
We all have a testimony to tell. Share yours and help change lives!
Hosea 2:14 “Therefore, behold, I will allure Israel
And bring her into the wilderness,
And I will speak tenderly to her [to reconcile her to Me]
God wants us at a point of loneliness where we will become receptive to him.
Hosea 5:14 For I will be like a lion to Ephraim, like a great lion to Judah. I will tear them to pieces and go away; I will carry them off, with no one to rescue them. 15 Then I will return to my lair until they have borne their guilt and seek my face in their misery they will earnestly seek me.
God doesn’t want us to rescue everyone. Sometimes we need to step back and let God move into action.
Psalms 51:10 Create in me a pure heart, O'God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.
